2010 INNOVATIVE EDUCATION CONFERENCE

“Learning environments are where people can continually expand their capacity to create results, where new and expansive patterns of thinking are nurtured and where people continually learn.” Peter Senge

Thank you for attending the 2010 Innovative Education Conference.  All of us at SiTEL, the Simulation and Training Environment Laboratory of MedStar Health, extend a warm welcome. This year, our theme is Learning Environments: The Landscape is Changing.

How do we create environments that foster curiosity and the desire to learn? To help us chart this ever-changing landscape, we have brought together some of the best and brightest minds. Today, we will explore:

  • Techniques for leveraging and cultivating learning in complex environments.
  • New learning environments and practical applications for the use of innovative learning strategies.
  • Incorporating learning strategies and programs that enhance quality and safety.
  • Changes in learning environments and the effect on educators, learners, and leadership.
